Charlene Freestone is a child passenger safety technician (CPST) at the Intermountain Primary Children's Hospital Larry H. & Gail Miller Family Campus in Lehi, Utah. She specializes in one-on-one parent education for car seat installation, special medical needs transportation, and behavioral safety support. She is also certified in transporting children with complex medical needs. Before her hospital role, Charlene co-founded Boot Baby Boutique — a natural parenting boutique in the old Lehi Hotel on Lehi Main Street — and co-founded a nonprofit chapter of an international babywearing organization. She worked as a teacher's aide during COVID and continues to work as a private project management contractor for tech companies. Charlene's professional path is rooted in personal experience: her son was born with medical needs requiring surgery and a car seat oxygen test. A nurse with CPST training helped her family. Exactly twelve years later, Charlene began working with Intermountain Healthcare — on the anniversary of her son's discharge. She graduated from BYU in 2009 and has lived in Lehi with her husband Greg Freestone and their three children since then.
